Some places etch themselves into your soul. They reshape the way you see the world. And yourself!
Nepal, India, Thailand, and Indonesia are are lands of deep spirituality, chaotic beauty and quiet wisdom, where the sacred and everyday life exist side by side.
I chose these countries mainly to amplify my culture-shock and not least because I could afford to travel there.
This is my humble attempt to describe the ways these cultures challenged and transformed me as a traveller.
When I travel I tend to write more vividly, more stream of consciousness.
I could edit it all and try to make it fit in with the rest but I kinda like it as it is.
Slow travel, local food, awesome festivals, sensational landscapes and amazing people I met along the way have inspired these stories.
Stories that explore contrasts and connections, the seen and the unseen, the mysterious and much more.
These stories are still being written. I’ll post them on the blog as they are finished.
Spirituality
From the stillness of Himalayan monasteries to the hypnotic chants of Balinese temples.
Rituals & Traditions
Festivals, ceremonies and age-old customs. The heartbeat of culture is in the rituals of its people.
Flavours
Food is like a story on a plate. Every shared meal is an invitation to belong.
Chaos & Harmony
Life in these places is a balance of mayhem and magic. The trick is learning to dance with it.
Nature’s Wonders
Mountains, oceans, jungles. Nature always speaks if you’re willing to listen.
Life is yours. Waste no time.
